Pesky Pet Hair on your Furniture?

Try this :

  • Fill a basin with water
  • Wear one rubber glove, on your dominant hand

  • Dip glove in water
  • Wipe the surface of your sofa, chairs, cushions etc with your gloved hand

  • Periodically dip the glove in the basin of water to clean off the hairs and to wet it again

I saw this in action in my friends’ house and thought I’d pass it on to my readers seeing as most of us have pesky pets in our lives.  IT REALLY WORKS!  It’s easier and much more effective than vacuuming the furniture.

Try it and let me know how you get on.  I’m going to try it on numnahs and rugs, too!

It’s that time again…

On and off, all night long, I could hear dogs baying and howling in the distance.

Unusual, I thought, but I did not think too hard about it.

This morning, it all became clear.

Shots were echoing all around the valley from before 8am.

Hunting season has arrived.  It’s going to be like this every Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday until January 12th.  Sigh.

The Small Brown Dog is very anxious and refuses to let me out of her sight, but she will get used to it – she did last year.

Image The reason for all the baying and howling at night is quite simple.  The hunting dogs are starved for a few days so that they will work better.  They will eat tonight.

All packed and ready to go.

DSCN4324I dropped my wonderful Youngest Daughter off at the bus station in Aix today.

DSCN4327Although it’s hard to know who’s under that rucksack.

There have been way too many goodbyes going on here recently.

I’ll miss these guys.
