L’année derniere, j’ai mis cela sur ma page Facebook.

C’était l’image satellite de Google Maps du parc de Flurry et Aero, pris en Juin 2014.  J’étais ravie de voir Flurry au plein centre du parc – le point blanc, avec un petit ombre à gauche.  Je n’étais pas certaine que je pouvais voir Aero, mais enfin j’ai réussi à me convaincre que je pouvais voir un point foncé, en forme d’Aero, dans l’ombrage des arbres.

Donc, quand j’ai fait une capture d’écran de l’image satellite de leur parc pour le billet du blog “Torment and Torture with Tricklenet”, j’ai été surprise de voir qu’elle avait changé.  Apparement, le satellite de Google a traversé les cieux provençaux plus récemment.

Voilà Aero, vêtu de sa couverture anti-mouches, devant l’abri – son endroit normal pour manger son foin.  A droite, on peut voir une des Filles qui habitaient à côté.  Je suppose que Flurry est dans l’abri des Garçons, son endroit pour manger habituel.

Je me suis demandé ce qui avait bien pu changé depuis la dernière image du satellite.  J’ai défilé pour voir le grand hangar.  C’était ma Jeep garé à côté?  Non, il manquait le toit ouvrant… J’ai continué à défiler jusqu’à la carrière et j’ai commencé à pouffer de rire.

Etait ce un site d’atterrissage des aliens?  Non, c’était la vue de la semaine de 21 Juin 2015, après que le Gaec de Pimayon ait accueilli le Championnat Provençal d’Equifeel.  Les lignes en plâtre étaient toujours en place dans la carrière à cause des ateliers qu’elle avait contenue – Déplacement Lateral, Pivot, Essui Glace, Le Licol, Le Saut à Longe et Le Double.  A droite de la carrière, on peut voir le petit parc d’Equifeel, qui a contenu le Trèfle à quatre feuilles.  Plus à droite, nous avons mis l’atelier du van dans un petit coin du parc de Zingara et Odji, mais la clôture et le van sont déjà enlevés.  Le rond longe au fond à gauche a contenu les Transitions, plus bas à gauche nous avons installé les Embûches, qui sont toujours là.  Un instantané génial à conserver!

Mais si on regarde de plus prés…

Au coin bas droit, voilà ma Jeep!  Mais elle n’est pas attelée à mon van, mon van est garé à sa place habituelle (pas visible ici).  Mais bien sûr – La Belle Simone a franchi mon pont avec un de ses pieds velus énormes!  Nous avons utilisé le vieux van de MC pour le reste du concours.

…qui est ce qui mont dans la carrière?  Le couleur du cheval me dit que c’est Alexandrine et Valentine.  J’adore la petite ombre qu’elles font!

Allez voir si vous pouvez trouver vos chevaux sur Google Maps!  Et peut-être vous trouverez aussi un joli instantané de l’espace!

This was the Google Maps satellite image of Flurry and Aero’s field in June 2015.  I was very excited to see Flurry right in the middle, the white dot casting a shadow.  I wasn’t sure I could see Aero but I eventually convinced myself that I could see an Aero-shaped dark spot in the shadow of the trees.

So when I took a screen-grab of the satellite image for the Torment and Torture with Tricklenets post, I was surprised to see that it had changed.  There’s been a more recent pass of the satellite, apparently.

That’s Aero, wearing his fly-rug, standing in his usual eating spot in front of his shelter.  To his right is one of The Girls who used to live next door.  I presume that Flurry is in the Boy’s shelter, in his usual eating place.

Hmm, what else would have changed since the last satellite photo?  I scrolled up to see the big barn – was that my Jeep parked beside it? No, it didn’t seem to have a sunroof… I scrolled on up to the arena and I literally laughed out loud.

An alien landing site?  No, this was the scene sometime during the week after June 21st, 2015 – just after Gaec de Pimayon had hosted the Provence Equifeel championships.  The arena still has the chalk marks for the different ateliers it contained – Déplacement Lateral, Pivot, Licol, Essui Glace, Saut à Longe and Le Double.  To the right of the arena is what we call Le Parc Equifeel.  The Trèfle à Quatre Feuilles was in there.  To the right of that, we had a section of Zingara and Odji’s paddock fenced off for Le Van, but the fencing and the trailer had been removed by the time the satellite passed overhead.  The round pen on the bottom left contained Transitions and to the bottom left of that, we had a small patch fenced off for Les Embûches.  What a great snapshot in time!

But looking closer…

…in the bottom right corner is my Jeep!  But not hitched up to my trailer – my trailer is parked in its normal spot (not shown here).  Of course – at last year’s competition, the lovely Simone put one of her great big hairy Friesan Feet through my ramp, so we had to use MC’s old trailer for the rest of the competition.

And looking closer again, who’s that riding in the arena?

From the colour of the horse, I think it must be Alexandrine and Valentine.  I just love the shadow they are casting!
