‘Tis the Season
It’s December and we can now officially, and with no feelings of guilt whatsoever, start getting excited about Christmas!
Each week, for the month of December, I’m going to be putting one original artwork from my collection ON SALE with a massive reduction of 50%.
I’m slightly late for Week #2, but this week I’m offering Le Noir at half price.
Le Noir – on sale for €60!
Some time ago, I asked myself the question, ‘can I do a black horse on black paper in white pencil?” I feel I succeeded. But then I also felt that she (yes, it’s a mare) needed something to make her ‘pop’, so I gave her a brown eye. So not entirely a monochrome image.
This has ended up becoming one of my favourite pieces. She’s available on several items on my redbubble page (she makes a particularly good cushion) and she’s in my pack of four ‘white on black’ greeting cards. I’ve always exhibited her alongside l’Iberique but he is SOLD (woohoo!) which is why I’m willing to let her go for a song. It’s either that or I’ll have to come up with another head to display beside her… which is not impossible!
